Marriage Proposals@Twitter

Tweeting away to glory is the new pastime that has caught the fancy of all and sundry. Serious promotion, information or just killing time, every action is on Twitter. While the bigwigs do get a kick out of it by counting the number of their fans, ordinary folk are not left far behind either. Who, on earth, has the time now to socialize by visiting the homes of friends or meet them outside regularly? A better option is to get social via the latest kid on the block, the extremely popular micro blogging site aptly called the ‘Twitter’
While many interesting anecdotes are shared by people on this ever active social networking medium, there are quite a few intensely private moments tweeted on it too. It lets the world watch with bated breath as the drama unfolds and most of the e-bystanders feel obliged to side with one party or the other. However, nothing can beat a good and romantic marriage proposal. It seldom fails to make you all mushy and teary eyed when you see a tweet popping the question. Yes, the Twitter has now become a convenient medium of expressing the desire of getting hitched too.
“Will u marry me, doll” went a tweet which went on to say, “Pls pls whispr those 3 special lines whch will make me wlk on air.” Pat came the reply, “Go Hang Yourself!”
“Luv sure is blind,” went another “but will u let me open my eyes by saying ‘YES’!” Some of the tweets do make you feel that the man knows what he’s in for. A prime example of this can be, “Will u do me the hnrs by becming my wife? It was luv at 1st sight but I won’t look twice.” Another particularly amusing one said, “I’d luv 2 get hitchd. I want only u 2 annoy me fr d the rst of mah life.” A highly intelligent one read, “I’m offering u marriage, you’ll take it anyway.”
Asking for your beloved’s hand was never more simpler. All it takes is a bit of courage to pop the question. Knowing how to spell properly is no longer considered to be a sign of erudition either. Just log in, propose and log out while you have the whole world as your witness. You are likely to receive your reply within an hour or two at most. Such is the power of the Internet! A word of caution though! Remember to keep it short and simple. Brevity is the name of the game on the micro blogging site. Pour your heart out in just 140 characters and the rest will follow in due course.
If you are still apprehensive and wondering, “2 ask or not 2 ask”. Feel free to take a leaf out of Grant Robertson’s book err tweet. The self styled media douche bag has popped the question to Christina Warren recently. And received an enthusiastic, ‘Yes! Yes! Yes!” in 11 minutes flat. So what are you waiting for?
